The Helios comes in a number of standard models, with specifications designed to cover most uses. However, it is possible to customise the Helios if your needs aren’t met directly by one of our standard models. Please contact us directly to discuss customisation.
NEW – All Helios models (other than Omnis Plus) can now be upgraded to a freewheel crank set in the stoker position, this allows the stoker to choose whether they pedal or not! We’re also able to shorten these cranks to 130mm (usually 170mm) for shorter legs. Please contact us for details.
E Helios
The Helios is available with the highly regarded Shimano STEPS electric assist. The STEPS motor is neatly fitted to the captains BB with the 11 Ah (14 Ah avaiable as an upgrade) battery mounted to the downtube. The system is fully integrated with the 8 speed Di2 hub gear, with the option to have automatic shifting set by the press of a button. To make sure you can contain that extra power, the Helios STEPS is fitted with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. The Shimano STEPS system can now be built with separable and triplet configurations.

Omnis
The Omnis makes a great general purpose bike, but features the weather proof Shimano Alfine hub gear, in either 8 or 11 speed (price is for 8 speed version), making it most suitable for all weather commuting or family duty.

Brut
The Brut is a freight and child carrying Helios. It comes with the durable and weather protected Shimano Alfine hub gear, in 8 or 11 speed (price is for 8 speed version), and is equipped as standard with the Cargo-Rack and Cargo-Extension. To turn it into a conventional tandem, just add stoker bars, telescopic stoker stem, rear telescopic seat post and saddle.Specification

Omnis Plus
The Omnis Plus with its wide gear range and disc brakes, is ideal for exploring. If you are planning a long camping tour or days in the mountains, this is the bike.

Triplet kit
The Triplet kit allows the Helios tandem to grow with your family and beyond. When the youngest child is ready to move out of a child seat, the Triplet kit can be added to the Helios, allowing both children to pedal. A child seat can also be added to the back to accommodate three children. This makes it ideal for the school run or for more adventurous family cycle rides. With its modular make up the triplet can easily be taken apart to convert it back to a tandem or, allows for easy storage and transport.
It is possible to add the Triplet kit to the Helios and Helios-STEPS tandems both from new, or retrospectively. All retrofit options require the tandem to be returned to Circe Cycles for fitting.
