The Eos takes its design cues from the Helios, but, by using a larger wheel size, carbon fork and belt drive options, and generally higher end componentry, has increased appeal for sports and heavy duty touring crews. The frame is also slighly longer than the Helios to facilitate a more stretched position, particularly for taller riders.
Almost certainly! Like the Helios, we designed the Eos to be ‘one size fits nearly all’, however, the Eos has slightly longer top tube and seat tube dimensions. With its telescopic stoker stem and versatile bar options, it’s still suitable for a very wide range of rider sizes, though not for very small children.

The Eos is designed to take both 26″ (ISO 559) and 24″ (ISO 507) wheel sizes. For sports type riding, we recommend the 26″ wheel/tyre with 28mm Conti Gatorskins, and for touring/mixed surface type riding, the 24″ wheel/tyre with the 47mm Schwalbe Marathon. Depending on your usage, there are other options in both sizes.
We wanted to use carbon for our fork because with careful design it can be light and stiff, yet strong enough for tandem usage. We also wanted a thru axle design suitable for 26″ road and 24″ touring tyres, that had mountings for mudguards and rack. Not surprisingly, there was nothing available, so we designed our own and worked with a carbon fork specialist to get it manufactured.
We build all our tandems to order in Longstanton, such that, within the bounds of compatibility and availability, we can accommodate any modifications, or even a complete custom spec.
In fact, we enjoy working with customers to achieve a bike that is as ideal as possible for their requirements.
We recommend a combined maximum weight for both riders of 170kg. Within this limitation, we recommend that the front rider should not exceed 100kg and the rear 80kg.
The Eos can be fitted with a conventional rear rack for using typical bike panniers and/or rack top bag. The carbon fork is also designed for taking a low rider rack for front panniers.
If more capacity is needed there are a variety of bags that will fit on the Stoker bar or one could use our Atlas trailer.
The Eos can have our Separable system installed, making it suitable for airline friendly one or two case packs.
With the 26″ wheels the Eos has an overall length of 2330 mm. The wheelbase is 1724mm.
Although we think the standard Eos matt grey looks very good, we understand that it’s not to everyone’s taste and offer custom paint finishes. Depending on the finish and complexity of the design this is from around £450.
